David Potete

Senior Pastor

David chose to follow Christ at the age of 17. In 1991, after serving as a pastor in Joliet, IL, he and his family moved to the city to start Northwest Community Church as its Sr. Pastor. He has been happily married to Pam, the love of his life, since 1978. They have four children and 8 grandchildren.

His loves include: Chicago, chocolate, hotdogs (with NO ketchup), Oreos, Oreo Blizzards, running marathons, and racing up tall buildings.

David holds undergraduate degrees in both business and pastoral administration and a Master’s degree in urban ministry.

Tommy Lewis

Associate Pastor

Tommy Lewis has been a pastor since 1992. He has pastored in Alabama and Georgia. He was born and raised in Alabama and graduated from Welch College in 1993. Tommy met Christine at Welch College and they married in 1992.

They have four children: Allison, Jonathan (and Lydia joined in 2018), Stephen and Joshua. They purposefully moved to Chicago to work at Northwest Community Church in 2002.

They are thankful that God has allowed them to work at Northwest Community Church and look forward to many more years serving God in Chicago.

Dustin Williams

Dustin Williams

Youth Pastor

Dustin was born and raised in Oklahoma. He accepted the call into youth ministry at 16. Since then Dustin has been involved in student ministry in numerous ways including being a camp counselor, game director, speaker, after-school teacher, children’s pastor, and teen (YUTE) pastor.

In 2006, Dustin received his Bachelor of Arts in youth ministry with a minor in missions at Randal University in Oklahoma where he met his wife Sara. They have two children: Noah and Olivia and a dog, Mozart. Together they have been a part of Northwest Community Church since September of 2008.

Interests: Oklahoma University football, retro video games, and the TV show Survivor. You may also spot him biking to his job downtown where he works for NBC Golf even in the winter.
