Northwest welcomes everyone to attend our worship services, which are completely bilingual.
In this way, we can knock down the walls of racism that divide the cultures and languages of our neighborhood.
At Northwest, there is not the idea of “Us” and “Them” but only “Us” because we are all together. Spanish speakers can learn English. English speakers can learn Spanish. And everyone can worship God in their native language!
One God.
One family.
One church.

Northwest le invita a todo el mundo a asistir a nuestros servicios de adoración, los cuáles son completamente bilingües.
De esta manera, podemos derrumbar las paredes de racismo que dividen las culturas y los idiomas en nuestro vecindario.
En Northwest, no usamos los términos de nosotros y ellos, sino solamente nosotros por que ¡todos estamos juntos! Hispanohablantes aprenden inglés, los que hablan inglés aprenden español, y ¡todos alaban a Dios en su lengua materna!

Why Is Everything Free?
¿Por Qué Todo Es Gratis?
At Northwest, we have deliberately decided that all of our services, events, and ministries should be provided free of charge. We have four reasons for this.
First, those who choose not to attend a church have many reasons. One of the most common reasons given is, “The church is always asking for money.” We have decided at Northwest that we need to show people we really care about them more than we do their money.
Second, offering our ministries and services for free is a reflection of the free gift of love that Christ offers us.
Third, we believe God has placed us in the Bel-Cragin neighborhood to give to this community, not to take.
Finally, we believe that the ministry of the church should be paid for by the members of the church. We feel it is wrong to ask nonmembers and visitors to underwrite the expenses of the church.
For these reasons, we offer our ministries to all free of charge. We desire to serve you as Christ has served us, with no payment expected!
En Northwest, hemos decidido deliberadamente que todos nuestros servicios, eventos y ministerios se brinden de forma gratuita. Tenemos cuatro razones para esto.
Primero, aquellos que eligen no asistir a una iglesia tienen muchas razones. Una de las razones más comunes que se dan es: “La iglesia siempre está pidiendo dinero”. Hemos decidido en Northwest que debemos mostrarle a la gente que realmente nos importamos más de lo que hacemos su dinero.

Our Beliefs

FWB Core Beliefs
- The Bible. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and are our only infallible rule of faith and practice.
- God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that each person of the Triune Godhead is equal, eternal, and self-existent as God.
- Christ. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His substitutionary death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- The Holy Spirit. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- The Sinfulness of Man. Man was created innocent, but by disobedience fell into a state of sin and condemnation. All people, therefore, inherit a fallen nature of such tendencies that all who come to years of accountability, sin and become guilty before God.
- Salvation. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We further believe that salvation is a totally free gift from God and cannot be earned by any amount of good deeds or religious activity.
- The Terms of Salvation. The conditions of salvation are: (1) Repentance of sin or sincere sorrow for sin and hearty renunciation of it. (2) Faith or the unreserved committal of one’s self to Christ as Savior and Lord with purpose to love and obey Him in all things. Repentance and faith are not to be viewed as two separate actions, but two ways of stating the same decision. In the exercise of saving faith, the soul is renewed by the Holy Spirit, freed from the dominion of sin, and becomes a child of God. (3) Continuance in faith unto death.
- Freedom of the Will. The human will is free and self-controlled, having power to yield to the influence of the truth and the Spirit, or to resist them and perish.
- Eternal Future. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
- The Church. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Northwest recognizes that we are one gathering of believers who make up just one part of the universal body of Christ, the Church. We share Christian fellowship with all who hold Jesus as their one and only Savior.

Creencias básicas de FWB
- La biblia. Las Escrituras del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento fueron dadas por inspiración de Dios, y son nuestra única regla infalible de fe y práctica.
- Dios. Creemos que hay un Dios, eternamente existente en tres personas: el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo, y que cada persona de la Trinidad Triuna es igual, eterna y autoexistente como Dios.
Cristo. Creemos en la deidad de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, en su nacimiento virginal, en su vida sin pecado, en su muerte sustitutiva, en su resurrección corporal, en su ascensión a la diestra del Padre, y en su retorno personal en poder y gloria.
El espíritu santo. Creemos en el ministerio actual del Espíritu Santo por medio del cual el cristiano puede vivir una vida santa.
- La pecaminosidad del hombre. El hombre fue creado inocente, pero por desobediencia cayó en un estado de pecado y condena. Todas las personas, por lo tanto, heredan una naturaleza caída de tales tendencias que todos los que llegan a años de responsabilidad, pecan y se vuelven culpables ante Dios.
- Salvación. Creemos que para la salvación del hombre perdido y pecador, la regeneración por el Espíritu Santo es absolutamente esencial. Además, creemos que la salvación es un regalo totalmente gratuito de Dios y no puede ganarse con cualquier cantidad de buenas obras o actividades religiosas.
- Los términos de la salvación. Las condiciones de salvación son: (1) Arrepentimiento del pecado o sincero dolor por el pecado y renuncia sincera al mismo. (2) La fe o el compromiso incondicional de uno mismo con Cristo como Salvador y Señor con el propósito de amarlo y obedecerlo en todas las cosas. El arrepentimiento y la fe no deben ser vistos como dos acciones separadas, sino dos formas de declarar la misma decisión. En el ejercicio de la fe salvadora, el alma es renovada por el Espíritu Santo, liberada del dominio del pecado, y se convierte en un hijo de Dios. (3) Continuación en la fe hasta la muerte.
- Libertad de la voluntad. La voluntad humana es libre y autocontrolada, con poder para ceder a la influencia de la verdad y el Espíritu, o para resistirlos y perecer.
- Futuro Eterno. Creemos en la resurrección de los salvados y los perdidos; los que se salvan para la resurrección de la vida y los que se pierden para la resurrección de la condenación.
- La Iglesia. Creemos en la unidad espiritual de los creyentes en nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Northwest reconoce que somos una reunión de creyentes que constituyen solo una parte del cuerpo universal de Cristo, la Iglesia. Compartimos la comunión cristiana con todos los que tienen a Jesús como su único y único Salvador.
