Senior Pastor/Pastor Princial
David chose to follow Christ at the age of 17. In 1991, after serving as a pastor in Joliet, IL, he and his family moved to the city to start Northwest Community Church as its Sr. Pastor. He has been happily married to Pam, the love of his life, since 1978. They have four children and 8 grandchildren.
His loves include Chicago, chocolate, hotdogs (with NO ketchup), Oreos, Oreo Blizzards, running marathons, and racing up tall buildings.
David holds undergraduate degrees in both business and pastoral administration and a Master’s degree in urban ministry.
David decidió seguir a Cristo a la edad de 17 años. En 1991, después de servir como pastor en Joliet, IL, él y su familia se mudaron a la ciudad para comenzar Northwest Community Church como su Pastor Principal. Tommy Lewis
Associate Pastor/Pastor Asociado
Tommy Lewis has been a pastor since 1992. He has pastored in Alabama and Georgia. He was born and raised in Alabama and graduated from Welch College in 1993. Tommy met Christine at Welch College and they married in 1992. They have four children: Allison, Jonathan (and Lydia joined in 2018), Stephen and Joshua. They purposefully moved to Chicago to work at Northwest Community Church in 2002. They are thankful that God has allowed them to work at Northwest Community Church and look forward to many more years serving God in Chicago.
Tommy Lewis ha sido pastor desde 1992. Ha sido pastor en Alabama y Georgia. Nació y creció en Alabama y se graduó de Welch College en 1993. Tommy conoció a Christine en Welch College y se casaron en 1992. Tienen cuatro hijos: Allison, Jonathan (y Lydia se unieron en 2018), Stephen y Joshua. Dustin Williams
Dustin was born and raised in Oklahoma. He accepted the call into youth ministry at 16. Since then Dustin has been involved in student ministry in numerous ways including being a camp counselor, game director, and speaker, after-school teacher, children’s pastor, and teen (YUTE) pastor.
In 2006, Dustin received his Bachelor of Arts in youth ministry with a minor in missions at Randal University in Oklahoma where he met his wife Sara. They have two children: Noah and Olivia and a dog, Mozart. Together they have been a part of Northwest Community Church since September of 2008.
Dustin is a huge fan of Oklahoma University football, retro video games, and the TV show Survivor. You may also spot him biking to his job downtown where he works for NBC Golf even in the winter.
Dustin nació y creció en un pequeño pueblo en el sureste de Oklahoma. Aceptó el llamado al ministerio juvenil a los 16 años. Manolito Valdés Flores
Luis goes by the name Manolito is from Pinar del Río, Cuba. He first visited a church in his third year of college when a friend invited him. After attending for a month, he received Christ as his personal Savior.
He went on to study at the Free Will Baptist Seminary in Cuba “The Cedars of Lebanon” for 4 years, where he obtained a degree in Theology and Bible.
He met his wife, Liz, while she was visiting Cuba on a missions trip. He moved to the US and they got married in 2017.
He enjoys the beach and cooking/sharing Cuban food. Especially soups and congris (rice with black beans) and Ropa Vieja (type of meat) and malangas (type of root).
Luis le llaman Manolito, es de Pinar del Río, Cuba. Primero visitó una iglesia en su tercer año de universidad cuando un amigo lo invitó. Después de asistir por un mes, recibió a Cristo como su Salvador personal. Luego estudió en el Seminario Bautista Libre de Cuba “Los Cedros del Líbano” durante 4 años, donde obtuvo el título en Teología y Biblia.
Conoció a su esposa, Liz, mientras ella estaba visitando Cuba en un viaje misionero. Se mudó a los EE. UU. Y se casaron en 2017, disfruta de la playa y cocinando y compartiendo comida cubana, especialmente sopas y congris (arroz con frijoles negros), Ropa Vieja (tipo de carne) y malangas (tipo de raíz).
